Denver Massage Parlors: Police Haven’t Ruled Out A Real Officer In Rape Investigation

Police have not ruled out the possibility the suspect may actually be a police officer. The Aurora Police Department says they took pictures of their officers along with different versions of their badges over the years and showed them to the victim. They have ruled out Aurora officers, but admit the suspect could be an officer from another jurisdiction.
“We’re confident today that it wasn’t an Aurora police officer, however we’re not sure that it’s not a police officer from another jurisdiction or a security guard or someone who is just posing as a police officer,” a spokesman for Aurora police told CBS4.
Detectives believe a suspect using the same method may have assaulted another woman in a neighboring jurisdiction, but the victim is reluctant to report the crime.
The original alleged assault reportedly happened at a massage parlor where the woman was employed.

AURORA, Colo. — Aurora Police are offering a reward and releasing new information in connection with an investigation into a sex assault which occurred last month.
Police said they are hopeful that the release of a composite and the addition of a reward will help detectives identify the suspect.
A female employee of a massage parlor reported that the suspect had been in the business for a massage earlier in the day on March 12. The suspect left the business following the massage but returned later and requested a second massage session.
Once the victim began the massage session, the suspect demanded that she perform a sexual act and she refused. The suspect then forcibly raped the victim, police said.

Aurora police released new information Tuesday in a March 12 rape at a massage parlor: The rapist pretended to be a police officer to intimidate his victim.
“Immediately after the assault, the suspect flashed a badge to the victim and told her not to bother calling the police because he was an officer,” police said Tuesday afternoon.
And it might not be the man’s first time to pull the ploy. A suspected victim at another location is reluctant to cooperate with authorities, police said.

In the March 12 case, police had reported that the man visited the massage parlor and then returned to the business, which has not been named, and asked for a second massage that day. During that massage, the man demanded the woman perform a sex act, and when she refused, he raped her, police said.

AURORA, Colo. — Police are asking the public to help identify a man who raped an Aurora massage therapist earlier this month.
Aurora police were called to a local massage parlor on a reported sexual assault about 9:45 p.m. March 12.
A female masseuse told officers reported that a man came in and had a massage earlier in the day, then left without incident.
But just before the business closed that night, the man returned and requested a second massage session, police said. The woman reluctantly agreed.
Once the woman began the massage therapy session, the man demanded that she perform sexual acts and she refused, police said. The man then forcibly raped the victim.

Aurora police are looking for a man suspected of raping a woman at a massage parlor after she refused to perform sexual acts while giving the suspect a massage.
On March 12, the suspect received a massage at the business and left without incident, according to a news release from the Aurora Police Department.
