A diabetic man who was arrested earlier this year on suspicion that he used his insulin to drug and rape a woman has been arrested again.
Frederick Lawrence Allen’s latest arrest — which occurred while he was out on bond in the sexual assault case — is on suspicion of driving under the influence and tampering with the interlock device placed on his truck after previous DUIs.
Boulder police pulled over Allen, 32, around 11:30 p.m. Monday after employees of the Bustop strip club, 4871 N. Broadway, called to say a patron had refused an offer of a cab after drinking three double whiskeys in an hour and a half.

I started doing comedy in Denver in ‘06, and I’ve been doing it professionally for four years. My home club is the Comedy Works downtown. I perform there on the weekends. I run the Lion’s Lair on Mondays, the Squire Lounge on Tuesdays, and I also host the Fine Gentleman’s Club show, Too Much Fun, on Wednesday nights at the Deer Pile, above City, O’ City. I do that with three other guys: Nathan Lund, Bobby Crane and Chris Charpentier. I’m also on the road a lot on the weekends.

Denver Strip Clubs: US revamps student work-visa program after abuses

The changes are the latest in a series of steps the State Department has taken to fix the program since the 2010 AP investigation. The investigation found that some participants were working in strip clubs, not always willingly, while others were put in living and working conditions they compared to indentured servitude.
The J-1 Summer Work and Travel Program, created under the Fulbright-Hays Act of 1961, allows foreign college students to spend up to four months living and working in the United States. It was meant to foster cultural understanding, but has become a booming, multimillion-dollar international business.

In one of the worst cases of abuse, a woman told the AP she was beaten, raped and forced to work as a stripper in Detroit after being promised a job as a waitress in Virginia. A federal indictment last year in New York charged that members of the Gambino and Bonnano mafia families and the Russian mob were using fraudulent job offers to help Eastern European women come to the U.S. to work in strip clubs.

Opponents included a Catholic priest and a man who said when he engaged in gay sex he visited strip clubs and participated in orgies.

… An alleged pimp known as “Jell-O” — accused of running a prostitution ring out of Denver strip clubs — was arrested in Houston Thursday after authorities stopped a taxi cab that he and four scantily clad woman were riding in.

Wednesday evening, the U.S. Marshall’s office in Houston received a call that Wallace was seen in a gentleman’s club, said Marshal Cameron Welch. The Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force coordinated with Houston police and launched an undercover surveillance team.

At one point Thursday, authorities saw Wallace leave a gentleman’s club in a taxi cab. He took the cab to a nearby hotel where he walked in the front door, through the lobby, out the back and into a different taxi cab.

After authorities surrounded the taxi cab, four strippers got out of the car ahead of Wallace. Each woman had about $1,000 in her purse. Authorities questioned the women and released them.

THE COLORADO SENATE gave initial approval Wednesday night to a $19 billion state budget after a debate that touched on funding infant circumcisions for the poor and whether state welfare ATM cards can be used at strip clubs, The Post’s Tim Hoover writes. The debate was largely conflict-free, compared with prior years. “There’s a lot of good in this budget,” said Sen. Pat Steadman, D-Denver, a member of the Joint Budget Committee, which crafted the budget. “It may not be totally perfect,” agreed Sen. Kent Lambert, R-Colorado Springs, “but it’s pretty close.”
