The following arrest information was supplied by the Westport Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.
A Bridgeport man was busted in a prostitution sting after he posted a Craigslist ad seeking sex in exchange for drugs on Sept. 7. According to the report, Casey Curtiss, 29, arranged to meet with two undercover female detectives to trade six ecstasy pills for sex. When he arrived and provided the pills, he was arrested. Curtiss was charged with two counts of patronizing a prostitute, possession of a hallucinogenic substance and sale of a hallucinogenic. His bail was set at $25,000 and he is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Sept. 17.
John Valiante, 22, of Compo Road South, was arrested on Sept. 7 after tampering with an ATM at Walgreens. According to the report, police were called to Walgreens on the report of a suspicious person near the ATM. Police saw that the machine had been tampered with and rendered unusable. Valiante was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and was released on a promise to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Sept. 17.
