Schedule study: I couldn’t find anything terribly interesting or enlightening about the Raiders schedule. It’s very straightforward and balanced. However, I did notice that on Halloween, the Seahawks travel to the Bay Area to play the Raiders. As it shows up on NFL.com’s schedule page, the game is labeled “SEA@OAK,” which makes me think of one of my all-time favorite short stories, “Sea Oak,” by the endlessly witty George Saunders.
