Criminal charges against former UNLV linebackers coach Ty Gregorak were dropped by the Boulder (Colo.) County District Attorney on Friday morning.
Gregorak was charged with vehicular trespassing and theft following an incident that took place while out with friends in his old college town on April 30.
He was accused of stealing a gun, sunglasses, wallet, bottle of cologne and other items from the car of strip club bouncer Joseph Benedetto. After seeing the items in his hotel room the next morning and saying he didn’t know how they came into his possession, Gregorak returned them to Benedetto at his home, the two men shook hands and then parted ways. Benedetto called the police and charges were pressed.
Gregorak’s attorney, David M. Beller, released a statement Friday afternoon stating that the defense’s investigation established that the parking garage attendant, who was within close proximity of Benedetto’s car, did not observe anyone breaking int …
