After being held in Las Vegas for 37 years, the SnowSports Industries America (SIA) Snow Show started its 11-year run in Denver last week at the Colorado Convention Center. The Denver Daily News interviewed more than 15 of the estimated 3,100 exhibitors showing the latest snow sports gear, and all but one said they were at least fairly happy with the events new location.
I think given the climate, everyone is a lot more focused on business than they are on simply the extracurricular activities that a place like Vegas has, said Steve Metcalf of K2 Snowboarding. Â
It seems like there are a lot more people coming to do business and are on focused on that rather than running around to strip clubs, bars, and spending all their money on gambling, added Andrew Mutty of Flow Sports.
